Job Description

Are you passionate about building? If yes, consider leading a team of professionals dedicated to developing the talents of underserved youth. The Talent Acquisition Manager will serve as a key business partner, planning, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s policies, procedures, and initiatives related to recruiting and hiring.

This role requires expertise in recruiting and interviewing, employee relations, workforce retention, and development. The candidate should demonstrate strong consultation, training, leadership, and business acumen to align HR programs with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Human Resource Manager to implement HR initiatives in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, retention, and talent development.
  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including assessments, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects to revise and implement policies and programs.
  • Act as a liaison with the Executive Director and leadership for communication.
  • Maintain current knowledge of recruiting best practices.
  • Model high ethical standards, professionalism, and conduct.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Nonprofit Management, or related field
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience
  • 2-4 years in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment preferred
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong time management and decision-making skills
  • High standards of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Additional Information

Estimated commitment: 8-10 hours/week, including monthly meetings, weekly/bio-weekly calls, mostly during the school year. Term: 6 months, extendable upon mutual agreement. Note: Unpaid volunteer position.
