Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner for a 100% remote role that covers full-cycle recruiting across a designated business unit. You will partner with TA leadership and hiring managers to forecast needs and craft effective recruiting plans while engaging top talent through multiple channels.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of recruiting in construction, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field.
• Ability to partner with hiring managers to understand needs and sell opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment tools, passive recruiting, Boolean searching, and cold calling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers and TA leadership to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
• Source candidates through job boards, social media, passive search, internal talent communities, and referrals.
• Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess qualifications and fit.
• Coordinate interview scheduling with TA Coordinators, Hiring Managers, and Candidates.
• Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS (Workday).
• Deliver a world-class candidate experience with proactive communication and timely feedback.
• Forecast talent needs with TA leadership and help deploy strategic recruiting plans.
• Stay informed about industry trends to improve recruitment processes.

Job description

As a Talent Acquisition Partner at Southland Industries, you will play a vital role in our company's growth by identifying, sourcing, and engaging top talent to join our team. You will collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will possess construction recruiting experience, excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and a passion for connecting talented individuals with exciting career opportunities. This is a remote role covering full-cycle recruiting for an assigned business unit, division, or specialty, with expectations to flex to other recruiting needs across the business as assigned.

• Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition leadership to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
• Source candidates through a variety of channels, including job boards, social media, passive search, internal talent communities, and employee referrals.
• Screen resumes and conducts initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions.
• Work with TA Coordinators, Hiring Managers, and Candidates for interview scheduling.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (Workday).
• Live the 'People-First' Southland brand by delivering a world-class candidate experience - communicating proactively throughout the recruitment process and providing timely updates and feedback.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition leadership to understand the current state of the business and forecasted talent needs, helping develop and deploy strategic recruiting plans.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruiting to continuously improve recruitment processes and strategies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven experience as a recruiter within the construction industry required.
• Ability to “talk the same language” and partner with hiring managers to understand needs, using that insight to effectively sell opportunities to candidates.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment tools and techniques, including passive recruiting, Boolean searching, and cold calling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter who takes initiative to identify improvements — we're always looking for ways to be better, faster, stronger.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Workday preferred) and candidate sourcing platforms.

Pay

This consolidated salary range reflects the anticipated pay range across the U.S. geographic locations where this position may be based. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s primary work location, experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Salary

$93,000.00-$129,000.00 annually
