Context: Lead talent acquisition strategy for a regional team, combining people leadership with recruiting operations, systems, and mobility responsibilities in a hybrid role in Appleton, WI.
Responsibilities
- Assign business units and recruiting portfolios to balance requisition workload across the team
- Develop and run the annual recruiting strategy aligned to business objectives across the region
- Translate workforce plans into department priorities, including recruiting goals, service levels, and performance standards
- Create sourcing strategies for high-volume, professional, technical, leadership, and hard-to-fill roles
- Build talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions using strategic sourcing, community partnerships, and employer relations
- Develop approaches to reduce reliance on external recruiting agencies
- Partner with stakeholders to shape the employer-of-choice strategy
- Ensure recruiting practices and processes are consistent across units while supporting legitimate local differences
- Monitor systems, vendors, and processes to confirm effective operation
- Identify improvements and process automation initiatives to enhance recruiting efficiency, data accuracy, user experience, and scalability
- Develop and execute mobility operations and community relations strategies
- Maintain strong relationships with P&C and business stakeholders to track hiring needs and team performance
- Own team scorecards and share labor market intelligence with the GBS team and stakeholders
- Own the annual budget and vendor management (including background checks and compliance reporting)
- Set individual performance expectations; run regular one-on-ones and performance reviews to ensure progress toward annual goals and development
- Coach and mentor recruiters on difficult searches
- Manage executive and critical requisitions, up to 10 requisitions during high-volume periods
- Review recruiting pipelines and requisition aging to ensure resources are prioritized appropriately
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- 7–10+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition and/or recruiting experience
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting and people leadership
- Experience with high-volume and professional recruiting
- Background in recruiting strategy and workforce planning
- Recruiting analytics experience
- ATS/HRIS experience and recruiting technology exposure
- Systems implementation and process automation experience
- Talent pipeline development experience
- Vendor management experience
