Job summary

Great American Insurance Group in Cincinnati is seeking a Recruiting Intern to support talent acquisition activities within the HR team. The role involves interview scheduling, candidate screening, and event support across campus recruiting and intern programs.

You will work with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates, gaining hands-on exposure to the full hiring lifecycle while on a flexible hybrid schedule at our downtown headquarters.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during summer and 20–30 hours/week during the academic year.
• Strong interest in Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Leadership or teamwork experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of recruiters with day-to-day recruiting activities.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate logistics.
• Review resumes and identify qualified candidates.
• Maintain candidate records in applicant tracking systems.
• Assist with recruiting events, career fairs, and intern programs.
• Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the process.
• Support onboarding activities and orientation prep.
• Conduct initial phone screens.
• Collaborate with HR on projects and administrative tasks.
• Contribute to process improvements in recruiting.
