Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Intern for summer 2027 to join our HR team in Lynchburg, VA. This on-site role with hybrid potential provides exposure to full lifecycle recruiting—from sourcing and candidate care to offers, clearance and onboarding.

You will partner with recruiters, coordinate interviews, help track metrics, and learn sourcing tools and HRIS platforms. U.S. citizenship and DOE clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications or a closely related field.
• Rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student status at internship start.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to track many moving pieces.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Recruiters across skilled craft, professional and engineering roles to learn sourcing strategies.
• Serve as a point of contact for candidates through interview, pre-interview and onboarding.
• Coordinate phone screens, on-site interviews, candidate travel and pre-employment testing.
• Shadow Recruiters on passive sourcing calls and learn to use sourcing tools and talent pipelining techniques.
• Pull and organize recruiting metrics (time to fill, source of hire, pipeline health) and present to hiring managers.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team, site HR partners and hiring managers.
