Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. invites applications for a Talent Acquisition Intern for Summer 2027. This on-site role may offer hybrid flexibility and is rooted in the Lynchburg, VA area with opportunities to work across BWXT sites.

You will support full lifecycle recruiting from sourcing to onboarding, collaborating with recruiters and HR partners to deliver a stellar candidate experience while maintaining compliance with DOE requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications or a closely related field.
• Rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student status at the time the internship begins.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to track many moving pieces at once.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability; comfort working with data.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Recruiters across skilled craft, professional and engineering roles, and learn how sourcing strategy differs for each.
• Serve as a point of contact for candidates through interview, pre-interview and onboarding, helping to deliver a responsive and professional candidate experience.
• Coordinate phone screens, on-site interviews, candidate travel and expense reimbursement and pre-employment testing using an applicant tracking system.
• Shadow Recruiters on passive sourcing calls and learn to use sourcing tools, Boolean search and talent pipelining techniques.
• Pull and organize recruiting metrics including time to fill, source of hire, pipeline health and help turn them into something a hiring manager can act on.
• Collaborate with TA team, site HR partners and hiring managers.
