Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis in Houston is seeking a Talent Acquisition Intern to support recruiting initiatives within our Legal Talent Acquisition team, gaining hands-on experience in a premier professional services environment.

Responsibilities include interview scheduling, candidate communications, maintaining recruiting records, supporting campus events, and contributing to process improvements. This role offers a path to develop strong HR and recruiting skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
  • Previous part‑time work experience is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new technologies and systems.

  • Provide administrative, scheduling, and logistical support to the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records and documentation.
  • Respond to routine inquiries and elevate issues as appropriate.

  • Assist with candidate travel reimbursement processes.
  • Contribute to team projects and process improvements.
  • Develop proficiency with recruiting tools and technologies while continuously building new skills.
