Job summary

NiSource is seeking a Talent Sourcing & Engagement Coordinator to support recruitment and onboarding in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will manage orientation, pre-employment questions, and candidate communications to shape the candidate experience.

This role collaborates with hiring managers, vendors, and the Talent Attraction team to coordinate events and improve processes. Strong organizational and Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of I-9 requirements and US employment authorization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support throughout recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Pull reports for orientation/onboarding meetings and ensure Workday data integrity.
  • Serve as the point of contact for orientation and onboarding and answer pre-employment questions.
  • Assist with facilitating orientation sessions and update weekly meetings.
  • Support external career sites, job boards, social media recruitment and vendor partnerships.
  • Coordinate and execute recruiting events, travel, and logistics for candidates.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Talent Acquisition leadership and teams.
  • Identify, recommend, and assist in improving Talent Acquisition processes.

Job SummaryThe NiSource Talent Acquisition team identifies, attracts, and acquires talent to support the goals & objectives of the organization and develops sourcing strategies to continue to build pipelines for future needs of the business. The Talent Sourcing & Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support throughout the recruitment and onboarding process. As a Talent Acquisition team member, this person will work closely with hiring managers, candidates and newly hired employees in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and will play a key role in shaping the candidate's impression of NiSource during the candidate and onboarding experience.Essential FunctionsPull reports for weekly orientation/onboarding meetings & ensures data integrity in WorkdayProvide support to team members, feedback on processes and procedures, and participate in various projects as assignedAct as the point of contact for orientation & onboarding answering questions about pre-employment and onboarding processes to ensure prompt completion and a positive candidate experienceManages the new hire orientation & onboarding process which includes sending welcome email communication and performing I-9 calls with new hires and leaders to ensure compliance.Assist with facilitation of orientation & onboarding sessions and provide updates during weekly meetingsSupports the usage of external career websites, job boards and social media recruitment efforts to maximize utilization, in addition to partnering with vendors and recruitmentPartners with Talent attraction team to help coordinate and execute recruiting events specific to networking and sourcing including securing meeting space, catering needs, equipment, travel arrangements and room layoutArrange travel, transportation, and accommodation for candidatesMaintain consistent communication with the Talent Acquisition leadership and their teamsIdentifies, recommends, and assists in the implementation of Talent Acquisition process improvementsImproves recruiting activities, recordkeeping, and budgeting through use of available technology and process improvementsMaintain accurate expense records associated with sourcingOther duties, as assignedRequired Qualifications For PositionEquivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and support multiple people/programs simultaneously.Detail oriented and comfortable with a high volume of work.Knowledge of I-9 requirements and various types of employment authorization in the United States.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to exercise independent judgment to make timely decisions and prioritize projects/responsibilities.Must possess strong technical skills in tools such as Microsoft Office products (Teams, Outlook, etc.)Excellent oral and written communication skills.Continuous improvement skills to create solutions to recruiting process problems with the ATS or other areas, work with the HR Community to evaluate solution options, tracks as changes are implemented and communicates final improvement solutions.Preferred Additional Qualifications for PositionAssociate's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality (event planning/coordination) or other relevant field2+ years of experience with an ATS (Workday preferred).Physical DemandsThe preceding description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required of the position.As a public utility, NiSource provides essential services to customers 24/7.
