Southwire Company, LLC is hiring for an entry-level Take Up 1 role in Carrollton. The position rewinds material to specified lengths, tests with spark equipment, and prepares wire for mills in Carrollton or Kentucky.
The job requires English proficiency and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include setting up the spark-tester, tagging and packaging product, ensuring quality, and possibly painting or reprinting during rewinding.

JOB OVERVIEW: The Take Up 1 is an entry level role that is responsible for rewinding material into a specified length while spark testing. Strip PVC and Nylon insulation off copper and aluminum wire that is to be sent to the Carrollton Rod Mill or the Kentucky Rod Mill.
