Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking a skilled Tailor in Coral Gables, FL to perform alterations, resizing and restyling of luxury merchandise. You will assist fitters with fit, alterability, and structural quality, ensuring workmanship meets Neiman Marcus standards.

This role requires experience in tailoring operations or an industrial sewing environment, with ability to read English and follow instructions. Strong math skills for measurements are essential, and you will operate sewing equipment and

Qualifications

Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment, with exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabrics, is preferred.
Ability to read English and understand instructions from managers and leads.
Basic math for taking measurements and adjusting sizes.

Responsibilities

Alter garments to Neiman Marcus quality standards, equal to or better than original construction.
Alter sleeves, shoulders, chest, and other dimensions as required.
Rotate sleeves, shorten sleeves, and adjust coats as needed.
Reline or remake pockets inside or outside of garments.
Operate and maintain sewing equipment and tools.
Self-inspect completed work for quality assurance.
