Job summary

Neiman Marcus is seeking a skilled Tailor to perform alterations, resizing, and restyling on merchandise sold in stores. You will support fitters by providing professional guidance on garment fit, alterability, and structural quality.

This role requires hands-on experience with sewing equipment and a keen eye for detail. The position involves adjusting garments, inspecting finished work, and following supervisor directions to meet high construction standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a tailoring operation or industrial sewing environment preferred.
• Exposure to a variety of garment styles and fabrics preferred.
• Ability to read English, understand instructions, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Alter garments to meet or exceed original construction quality.
• Perform garment adjustments including seams, shoulders, sleeves, coats, linings, and pockets.
• Operate and maintain sewing equipment.
• Inspect completed work and complete assignments from supervisor or lead.
