Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Tailor/Fitter to provide exceptional service through skilled alterations and fittings. You will measure customers, perform on-time fittings, and complete sewing alterations following Nordstrom guidelines, while meeting productivity goals and maintaining organization.

You will educate customers and teammates on fit, construction and fashion trends, contributing to a collaborative Alterations & Store Team environment and consistently delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring and sewing experience with 2–3 years preferred.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size, fit garments on customers, and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and complete sewing alterations according to Nordstrom standards.
• Meet department and personal productivity goals following proper processes.
• Use store technology to manage and organize alteration needs.
• Deliver customer expectations through teamwork within the Alterations & Store Team.
• Educate customers and employees on fit, construction and trends in a professional manner.
