Job summary

Nordstrom Inc. is seeking a Tailor/Fitter to provide excellent service through skilled alterations and fittings. You will measure customers, perform fittings, and deliver alterations on time while upholding Nordstrom standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of fitting and sewing experience, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule and safe operation of equipment are important.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring and sewing experience preferred (2–3 years).
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing/pressing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and alterations per Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals following proper processes.
• Use store technology to manage alteration needs.
• Collaborate with Alterations & Store Team to meet customer expectations.
• Educate customers on fit, style, construction and trends in a professional manner.
