Job summary

Macy’s Inc. is seeking a Tailor to repair garments to selling standards and operate sewing equipment. Full-time schedules typically require 30+ hours per week, with weekend shifts and flexible hours as business needs dictate.

You will perform repairs, pressing, and alterations while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. A High School Diploma or equivalent and strong interpersonal skills are required, with prior tailoring experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to read and understand policies in English.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic garment repairs (sleeves, backs, sides, collars, bodices).
• Replace buttons, mend seams, fix hems, and adjust lengths.
• Provide high-quality repairs for customers and maintain stock records.
• Press and steam garments before returning to stock.
• Inform team leaders of supply needs and follow procedures.
• Maintain punctuality and adaptability in daily operations.
