Capstone Copper Pinto Valley is seeking a skilled Tailings and Water Monitoring Systems Technician to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot its monitoring network at the Pinto Valley mine in central Arizona.

The role focuses on piezometers, prisms, slope inclinometers, transducers and radar scanning equipment, with field work and collaboration with site engineers to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Your work supports environmental reporting and continuous improvement in reliability and safety.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year in tailings or water operations/maintenance

Mansioni

• Exemplify Capstone Copper Values and follow MSHA safety guidelines and Pinto Valley Mine policies.
• Field-verify tailings monitoring system locations and assist with AutoCAD mapping.
• Review system access points and re-establish access or build new access.
• Develop and implement instrumentation protection plans.
• Daily and weekly system health checks; troubleshoot down equipment and report KPI status.
• Monitor real-time system variances and alert site engineers of critical changes.
• Work with contractors for field installation of new instrumentation.
• Collect data for environmental annual reporting and KPI tracking.
• Assist with researching new monitoring technologies and training materials.
