Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Bagdad, Arizona is seeking candidates to support leaching operations and field construction. You will perform leaching-related duties, assist with pipe fusions, and maintain plant equipment in a 24/7 mining environment.

The role requires at least three months of experience in mining/manufacturing or related fields, with completion of required competencies and safety assessments. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and housing benefits are noted in the program.

Qualifications

Three months experience in mining/manufacturing or related fields.
Completion of required competencies and ability to pass a written assessment including safety.

Responsibilities

Performs duties related to the leaching process and leach field construction.
May assist with and perform pipe fusions using fusing machine.
Responsible for having knowledge of plant nomenclature including sumps, pumps, and leaching areas.
Knowledge of evaporative spray heads and drip systems; may assist with proper placement on leach fields.
May assist with clay treatment which may include using a filter press.
May assist with loading, delivering, and unloading pipe and materials.
Operate mobile equipment such as skid-steer loaders, forklifts, boom trucks, and light duty vehicles.
May assist with maintenance activities.
Perform area housekeeping.
Perform other duties as required.
