Job summary

Capstone Copper is seeking a Tailings Pump House Control Room Operator to oversee the safe operation of the tailings pump house and distribution system. You will monitor pumps, valves, and control systems, coordinate dam activities, and support production targets while maintaining safety and operating standards.

The role requires experience with control systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and monitoring computerized control systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook; able to document data.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor tailings pump house pumps, valves, and control systems.
• Record notifications, delays, and data in control systems and generate reports.
• Ensure safety, compliance with MSHA and SOPs; report incidents and equipment damage.
• Coordinate dam-related crane operations and field activities to meet plans.
• Support maintenance scheduling and equipment reliability for tailings operations.
• Assist training and mentorship of team members to ensure competency.
