Job summary

NTC Language Services is seeking reliable In-Person Educational Interpreters for Tagalog to work part-time, as-needed assignments in Western Suffolk County, NY. Interpreters will provide in-person interpretation for school-related activities, traveling to sites as required.

Interpreters must read, write, and speak proficiently in English and Tagalog, maintain confidentiality, and arrive on time for each assignment. Starting pay is $35.00 per hour with flexible, as-needed scheduling.

Qualifications

• Be able to read, write, and speak proficiently in both English and Tagalog.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for parent-teacher conferences and school meetings.
• Interpret accurately and completely between English and Tagalog.
• Maintain neutrality and confidentiality.
• Arrive on time and stay for the full duration of each assignment.
• Work professionally with students, families, educators, and school staff.
