Job summary

Easterns Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Tag & Title Clerk to join our Sterling, VA team. You will oversee tag and title documentation, coordinate with DMV offices, and ensure accurate titling for local and out-of-state transactions.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills. CDK DMS experience is preferred, and we offer growth opportunities, a 40-hour work week, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent experience as an Automotive Title Clerk or DMV Clerk.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
• Experience with Dealer Track/CVR/DMV is a definite advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and handle all tag and title documentation, ensuring accurate titling locally and out-of-state.
• Process titling documents using electronic vehicle registration systems and coordinate with DMV offices.
• Track and post titling operations and monitor related schedules.
• Calculate and process customer refunds when necessary.
• Assist with miscellaneous tag and title tasks as required.
• Engage with customers and vendors professionally to uphold the dealership's reputation.
• Conduct inventory controls and audits regularly.
• Stay updated with changes in applicable laws and regulations.
• Payoff vehicle trades and track trade titles/wholesale.
