GardaWorld Security is seeking a Tactical Security Guard - Retail in Union City and San Jose, CA. You will patrol and observe assigned sites, readted reports, and quickly respond to incidents to protect people and property. Candidates must have a valid BSIS Guard Card, five years of security experience, and state-authorized licenses.

Uniforms provided, daily Pay available, and benefits included. This role demands physical stamina, strict adherence to procedures, and strong reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Five years of security experience required.
• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and 32-hour trainings.
• HS Diploma or GED or higher; authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be 21+ years old; baton, OC spray and handcuff permits.

Responsibilities

• Observe, survey the area and report activity at the location.
• Patrol indoor and outdoor environments and respond rapidly to incidents.
• Read/write detailed reports and enforce procedures and standards.
• Detain and search as needed, respond to alarms and coordinate with law enforcement.
• Ensure safety and protection of people and property.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

What’s in it for you:

• Location: Union City, CA & San Jose, CA
• Schedule: Full time, 32 hours per week.
  • Monday / Tuesday, 4:00pm - 1:00am (Union City). Wednesday / Thursday, 5:30pm - 2:00am (San Jose)
• Competitive hourly wage of $34 / hour depending on site pay (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard - Retail

• You observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
• You are able to work indoor and outdoor in a variable environment.
• You provide rapid response in critical situations.
• You’re good with reading and writing detailed reports.
• You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• You detain and search.
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard - Retail

• You have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings. (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Be able to provide documentation of HS Diploma or GED
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have at least five years of security experience!
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Must have baton permit
• Must have OC spray permit
• Must have handcuff permit
• Please include your most up to date security resume
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
