GardaWorld Security Services of California, Inc. is hiring a Security Officer – Retail in Freedom, CA. The role involves patrolling retail environments, identifying risks, and ensuring safety for customers and staff.

You'll work a set schedule, 40 hours per week, Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00pm to 12:00am, with a competitive $19 per hour and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. A state license, BSIS trainings, and a HS diploma are required.

Qualifications

• State license to work as a security officer in the U.S.
• BSIS 32-hour security training (additional trainings possible during onboarding).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• First aid certification is a plus.
• Ability to stand and walk for the full shift.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check proper functioning of alarms and cameras.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure safety and protection of people and property.

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Qualifications of a Security Guard - Retail

• You have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
