Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer Patrol Supervisor in San Jose, CA. The role focuses on leading event security operations, coordinating with client teams, and ensuring a safe environment across diverse venues.

The position requires a valid CA driver’s license, a HS diploma or GED, and at least 2 years of supervisory experience, with competitive hourly pay and full benefits on offer.

• First aid certification is an asset
• Security, Military or Law Enforcement background welcome

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for event security operations with client teams and GardaWorld supervisors
• Assist in pre-event briefings, assign roles and escalation procedures
• Provide leadership to event officers and coordinate with GardaWorld management
• Monitor activity, crowd flow, and access points to maintain a safe environment
• Report incidents promptly to GSOC or on-site command
• Maintain guest relations and represent GardaWorld professionally
• Collaborate with campus departments to adjust security coverage in real-time
• Complete incident reports, event recaps and post-event debriefs
• Support logistics such as post setup, equipment checks and roster tracking
• Navigate campus maps to direct guests, vendors or staff efficiently

As a Security Officer Patrol Supervisor – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

• Schedule: Full Time Shift Available (See shift details below)
  • (A) Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 9:30pm, (B) Thursday - Monday, 9:00pm - 5:30am

Responsibilities Of Tactical Security Guard

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for event security operations, coordinating directly with the client’s event management team, site security, and GardaWorld supervisors.
• Assist in pre-event briefings, ensuring all event officers understand their roles, post assignments, and escalation procedures.
• Provide leadership and direction to event officers throughout each shift, acting as a working lead who supports both the client and GardaWorld management.
• Monitor event activity, crowd flow, and access points to maintain a safe, professional environment.
• Report and elevate incidents promptly through radio or Pixel to GSOC or on-site command.
• Maintain strong guest relations and represent GardaWorld in a professional, service-oriented manner.
• Collaborate with tech campus departments and event organizers to anticipate needs and adjust security coverage in real time.
• Complete detailed incident reports, event recaps, and post-event debriefs.
• Support logistics such as post setup, equipment checks, and roster tracking.
• Ability to navigate campus maps and direct guests, vendors, or staff efficiently.

Qualifications Of Tactical Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Corporate security experience
• Must have 2 years of lead/supervisor experience
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License
• First aid certification is an asset
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
