Job summary

SMX is seeking a Field Support Representative to support SOCPAC J6 TACLAN operations across the PACOM Theater. The FSRs are highly skilled IT specialists responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting TACLAN hardware and software in Special Operations environments.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, DoD 8140/8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS, and 4+ years of IT/communications experience, with at least 2 years in project coordination or operations

Qualifications

Clearance TS/SCI required.
Active DoD 8140/8570.01-M IAT Level II certification.
4+ years IT/communications experience with 2+ years in project coordination or operations management.
Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, train on, and facilitate warranty for TACLAN systems.
Apply systems engineering principles to ensure hardware/software meet ops requirements.
Manage user interfaces, servers, access controls, imaging, and interoperability.
Coordinate with tiered support, maintain spares, align hours with site needs.
Provide training to SOF units and develop training materials; travel to satellite locations.
Support enhancements, monitor tests, evaluate results, implement software applications.
Travel CONUS/OCONUS up to ~25%.
