Job summary

SMX is seeking a Field Support Representative to sustain TACLAN hardware and software for SOCPAC J6 TACLAN operations across the PACOM Theater. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and support deployable systems in demanding Special Operations environments.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 4+ years of IT/communications experience, and a willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS (about 25%). A bachelor’s degree in IT or related field is preferred, with certifications such as Security+ or

Qualifications

Clearance TS/SCI is required.
Experience providing C4IAS support to SOF units/commands.
DoD 8140 / 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification or higher.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent military/contractor experience).
At least 4 years IT/communications experience with 2 years in project coordination, operations management, or site lead support.

Responsibilities

System operations, maintenance, and training for TACLAN systems.
Manage all aspects of tactical mission support and ensure hardware/software meet requirements.
Administer servers, access controls, imaging, and interoperability between systems.
Coordinate with tiered support, maintain spare parts, adjust hours to site needs.
Provide training to SOF units and travel for training delivery.
Support enhancements, monitor tests, and ensure system compatibility.
