Job summary

NABRICO Marine Products in Ashland City, Tennessee is seeking a dependable Tacker for 2nd shift to support fabrication and assembly of steel components. You will position, fit, and tack weld parts in preparation for final welding, working with Fitters and Welders to ensure accurate, high-quality assemblies while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, measuring accurately, and operating grinders and other tools in a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in welding, fabrication, or heavy manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Must pass respirator fit test and maintain facial hair required for seal.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Position, align, and secure steel components for assembly.
• Perform tack welds to hold components prior to final welding.
• Verify measurements and ensure assemblies meet specs.
• Operate grinders and fabrication tools to prepare materials.
• Assist Fitters and Welders throughout fabrication process.
• Identify and report material or quality concerns.
• Safely operate cranes and material handling equipment as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety standards.
