Job summary

NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a safety-focused General Laborer – Set Up Crew for its Ashland City, TN facility. You will prepare barges, set up equipment, and support welders and fitters to keep production flowing safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, basic welding exposure, and a strong work ethic with a willingness to learn. This is a path to growth in manufacturing and marine construction roles.

Qualifications

• Basic welding experience, including tack welding, is required.
• Experience with grinders and hand/power tools is preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and safety-focused mindset are essential.
• Manufacturing/industrial experience is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up work areas and prepare barges for fabrication.
• Assemble, relocate, and dismantle scaffolding and platforms following safety rules.
• Move welding machines, tools, leads, hoses, grinders, and other equipment around the facility.
• Operate grinders and tools to remove slag, weld spatter, burrs, and surface imperfections.
• Prepare steel materials and components for welding, painting, and assembly.
• Perform tack welds to assist fitters and welders with alignment.
• Deliver materials and tools to production personnel as needed.
• Support welders, fitters, crane operators, and other production staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety initiatives.
