Job summary

AJ Construction INC in Jackson, MS is hiring an Asphalt Tack Truck Driver to safely operate tack equipment, support paving crews, and help deliver high-quality asphalt installations in the Jackson Metro Area.

The role requires a CDL Class A (B acceptable), a clean driving record, and a DOT medical card; hazmat preferred. You will maintain the truck, complete tack reports, logbooks, and communicate with dispatchers to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• CDL Class A preferred (Class B acceptable).
• Clean driving record and DOT medical card.
• Hazmat preferred.
• Strong work ethic and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and handle equipment safely and productively.
• Calibrate and operate distributor.
• Keep truck clean and maintain equipment.
• Assist paving crew with various duties.
• Heat Tack and operate tack truck.
• Take beginning/ending rack readings and complete tack reports.
• Complete log books, vehicle inspections and site condition reports.
• Communicate with dispatchers using 2 way radios.

• - This job requires you to be responsible for safely and productively operate and handle equipment, calibrate and operate distributor
• Job Responsibilities
• Always keep your truck clean
• Maintain proper maintenance of truck and distributor including tire pressure, fluid levels, etc.
• Assist paving crew with various duties as assigned
• Heat Tack and operate tack truck
• Protect areas that are not supposed to be primed
• Take beginning/ending rack readings and complete tack report
• Complete log books, vehicle inspection and site condition reports
• Communicate with dispatchers using 2 way radios and verbal communication
• Position Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience
• CDL Class A preferred(Class B acceptable)
• Possess a strong work ethic

• Hold a current DOT physical card
