This particular assignment provides primary residential, accountability, safety, and welfare coverage for cadets. The position requires regular presence in cadet residential areas and the ability to respond promptly to routine and emergency situations in which legitimate cadet privacy interests may be implicated.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and leadership to assigned cadets and promote their health, welfare, safety, accountability, good order, and discipline. Enforce Corps of Cadets policies, standards, and procedures consistently and document counseling, incidents, corrective actions, and follow-up appropriately.
  • Character and Leader Development
Teach, coach, and mentor cadet battalion and company leadership teams. Provide guidance on leadership, accountability, ethical decision-making, military customs and courtesies, conflict resolution, professional conduct, and GMC’s values of Duty, Honor, and Country.

Respond to urgent or unplanned situations requiring entry into cadet living or sleeping areas. Perform these responsibilities in a manner that protects cadet dignity, safety, confidentiality, and legitimate bodily-privacy interests.
Serve as an accessible point of contact for female cadets who raise personal-welfare, safety, harassment, misconduct, or other sensitive concerns. Make all required reports and referrals in accordance with GMC policy and applicable institutional procedures.

Monitor assigned cadets’ study habits, class attendance, academic performance, and progress toward institutional and Corps academic standards. Counsel cadets who are experiencing academic, attendance, behavioral, or adjustment concerns and coordinate appropriate interventions and referrals.
Support cadet persistence and retention by identifying concerns early, maintaining appropriate documentation, and collaborating with academic and student-support personnel.

Manage or oversee assigned cadet administrative functions, accountability records, counseling documentation, training records, inspection results, disciplinary documentation, and related reports.
Monitor and enforce standards involving uniforms, military appearance, rooms, barracks, formations, safety, maintenance, and cadet conduct. Assist with the development and execution of training, inspections, formations, ceremonies, physical fitness activities, and other Corps requirements.
  • Recruiting and Institutional Support
Represent the Corps of Cadets during recruiting activities, campus events, orientation programs, ceremonies, and other institutional functions. Provide accurate information regarding cadet life, expectations, opportunities, and requirements.
Perform other related duties assigned by the Commandant of Cadets or Deputy Commandant of Cadets that are consistent with the purpose and responsibilities of the position.
