Job summary

Shawntech-Communications-Inc is seeking a Tablet Administrator to manage maintenance, inventory, and RMAs for inmate tablets across assigned facilities. The role requires on-site visits, fault diagnosis, and timely response to issues within correctional environments.

The candidate will track inventory, generate reports for the FSM, coordinate repairs, and ensure daily operations run smoothly with minimal downtime for tablet services.

Qualifications

• Some technical experience required.
• Knowledge in the use of hand tools.
• Basic computer skills for setup/troubleshooting.
• Must have valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Must have a vehicle in good running condition.
• Ability to pass a thorough background checks required by ShawnTech Communications, Inc. and the client.
• Must be a self-starter that can work independently and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a correctional environment with possible interaction with inmates.
• Must have good communication skills; able to work independently at multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Handle tablet maintenance duties including inventory and RMAs.
• Perform tablet repairs and track devices at assigned facilities.
• Visit assigned sites weekly and ensure all tablets are inspected.
• Track and distribute inventory of inmate tablets at each site.
• Provide tablet and equipment tracking reports daily to the FSM.
• Inspect tablets and open trouble tickets for issues and escalate as needed.
• Work with production to ensure broken equipment is returned within timeframes.
• Distribute spare equipment as needed and perform limited repairs.
• Respond to inmate complaints promptly via the designated channels.
• Maintain trouble ticket database with facility information and counts.
• Manage day-to-day support functions for the tablet program and ensure applications run properly.
• Maintain an up-to-date listing of tablets issued, on-shelf, and requiring repair.
