Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Data Analytics & Visualization Engineer to transform complex data into actionable insights using Tableau-based dashboards and analytics-ready data pipelines. You will partner with analytics, engineering, and mission stakeholders to deliver production-ready dashboards that support operational awareness and executive decision-making.

The role covers the full analytics lifecycle, from requirements to deployment, and emphasizes clear visual storytelling for both

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, CS, math, data analytics or related field with 8+ years experience, or 5+ years in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Proven ability to develop data pipelines and analytics workflows using Python.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills to support analytics and visualization needs.
• Hands-on experience building visual analytics and dashboards with Tableau.
• Experience designing dashboards for operational monitoring and executive reporting.
• Excellent communication and data quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve analytics-ready data pipelines for scalable reporting.
• Lead development of Tableau dashboards and visual analytics products.
• Translate datasets into clear visual stories for trends and insights.
• Partner with analytics and engineering to productionize dashboards.
• Participate in requirements, modeling, design, testing, deployment, and refinement.
• Present insights to internal customers and leadership, tailoring for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate on modern visualization techniques and UX best practices.
• Support and enhance analytics platforms for performance and data integrity.
