Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Supply/Yield Data Engineering team. You will design and maintain data pipelines into Databricks, support analytics initiatives, and help migrate reporting assets from Looker to Tableau Cloud.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, implement IaC with Terraform, and build CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable deployments in AWS, Snowflake, and Tableau Cloud. Priorities include modernization and automation through 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building data pipelines for large datasets.
• Proven ability to implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes in modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data quality and validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for Databricks.
• Build scalable data pipelines in AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.
• Develop data assets and datasets for analytics and reporting in Tableau Cloud.
• Support Looker-to-Tableau migration initiatives and automation.
• Create technical documentation, specs, and deployment guides.
• Perform testing and QA to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Provide post-delivery support and incident resolution for production workloads.
• Implement IaC using Terraform and set up CI/CD with GitHub Actions or Concourse.
• Promote engineering best practices and reduce SPOFs through automation.
