Job summary

Delaware Park Casino & Racing is seeking a casino dealer to create a fun, fast-paced gaming environment. You will explain game rules, manage bets, and pay or collect winnings with accuracy. The role requires passing an audition, background check, and licensing as mandated by Delaware Gaming Enforcement/Lottery.

• Successful completion of dealer school/program required.
• Strong hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity skills are preferred.
• Must successfully pass an audition to determine the performance levels and abilities.
• Must complete and maintain background check and licensing process as required by Delaware Gaming Enforcement/Lottery.

Responsibilities

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment with flawless service delivery.
• Conduct and facilitate the game by explaining rules to participants.
• Ability to calculate odds quickly and accurately to pay bets and collect winnings.
• Determine appropriate chip denominations for cash received.
• Monitor game security and report irregularities or cheating attempts.
• Provide fast, friendly, guest-focused service.
• Communicate with team members and guests to promote positive relations.
• Maintain professionalism with teammates and guests.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job description

_ This position qualifies for a $500 signing bonus. $250 will be issued after the first 30 days and 80 hours worked. The remaining $250 will be given after the first 90 days and 240 hours worked. _

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.


• Conduct and facilitate the game by providing rules of the game to participants, according to established requirements.


• Ability to calculate odds quickly and accurately to pay winning bets and collect losing bets.


• Ability to determine the appropriate chip denominations for cash received.


• Must be cognizant of the security of the game being played and notify appropriate members of Poker Room management of any irregularities and/or attempts to cheat while the game is being played.


• Provide our guests with fast, fun, friendly, joyful, focused service.


• Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team members and guest relations.


• Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests


• Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous Dealing experience preferred.


• Knowledge of multiple table games preferred.


• Successful completion of dealer school/program required.


• Strong hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity skills are preferred.


• Must successfully pass an audition to determine the performance levels and abilities.


• Must be able to successfully complete and maintain the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Gaming Enforcement/ Lottery during employment.


• Must have strong math skills, with the ability to calculate numbers quickly & accurately.


• Must possess strong money-handling and documentation skills.


• Must be able to wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.


• Must be able to walk and stand for at least a full eight (8)-hour shift.


• Ability to bend reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.


• Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• Ability to perform duties at station assignments that are busy with limited space have high volumes, diverse clientele, noise, music, minimal and/or bright lighting, and variation of climate control.


• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management is mandatory.


• Must be able to handle all types of guest-related situations, and relay all guest compliments and complaints to Table Games Management.
