Job summary
A leading aviation firm based in Kansas is seeking a Software Engineer to support Type Certification for both domestic and foreign aircraft. The successful candidate will be responsible for software lifecycle data management, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with certification processes. Qualified applicants will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience, along with strong communication skills. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in software or AEH.
Knowledge of FAA delegate approval qualifications desired.
Responsibilities
Author and approve software and AEH lifecycle data items.
Lead SOI reviews and participate in software requirements development.
Mentor less experienced engineers and prepare compliance reports.
Skills
Knowledge of RTCA/DO-178
Knowledge of RTCA/DO-254
Knowledge of ARM Microprocessors
Communication skills
Experience with VHDL
Experience with electronic test equipment
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
