Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Transmission & Distribution Project Manager to join an on-site team overseeing a program of transmission and substation projects. You will manage the full lifecycle, coordinate with clients, teams, and contractors, and ensure milestones, budgets, and readiness across projects.

The role requires 7+ years of program management experience, preferably in electric utility environments, with strong scheduling, cost control, and risk management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive project or program management experience (master's may substitute).
• Experience managing projects through multiple lifecycle phases (planning to closeout).
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and stakeholders.
• Experience in electric utility/transmission or similar capital project environment preferred.
• PM scheduling, cost management, forecasting, risk management, and controls knowledge.
• PMP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from development through construction and closeout, coordinating planning, siting, environmental, permitting, estimating, engineering, right-of-way, controls, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Serve as primary contact for projects, maintaining communication between clients, teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Drive schedules, manage scope, identify dependencies, and coordinate activities to meet milestones and in-service dates.
• Maintain detailed project cost forecasts, accruals, commitments, and overall financial performance.
• Identify, track, communicate, and manage project risks, issues, changes, and decisions that affect scope, schedule, cost, or execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure deliverables, priorities, and dates are communicated.
• Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder coordination, action-item tracking, and follow-up to ensure commitments.
• Support procurement, contractor coordination, bid activities, change management, and construction readiness.
• Provide clear project reporting on schedule, cost, risk, procurement, and status.
• Elevate issues and coordinate with leadership to develop resolution strategies.
• Support consistent implementation of program processes and lessons learned across projects.
