Job summary

Hawaiian Electric Companies in Kaneohe – Oahu is seeking a Professional Supervisor to lead the T&D Operations team. The role oversees construction, installation, inspection, and maintenance of transmission facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The position requires leadership experience and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include planning meetings, coordinating with crew leaders, and managing division forecasts.

Qualifications

• Supervisory/leadership skills including effective written, oral and listening communication skills.
• Ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive issues with tact and discretion.
• Analytical and administrative skills for preparing/monitoring estimates and performance appraisals.
• Valid driver's license (Hawaii or other US state) and ability to be transported by helicopters.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and monitors workforce activities to ensure safe, cost-effective construction, installation, inspection and maintenance of transmission and distribution facilities.
• Plans, schedules and conducts meetings to foster communication and maintain workforce skills.
• Analyzes work packages to coordinate project requirements and satisfy customer expectations.
• Assists in planning and monitoring divisional activities and programs to meet goals.
• Participates in emergency response activities as assigned.
• Ensures completion of division objectives and forecasts.
