Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an accredited school.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and design, project management and construction methods.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant engineering experience and ability to use common software tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepares plans, layouts, design calculations and related engineering design.
• Performs project engineering and project management for Hawaiian Electric projects.
• Coordinates with consulting engineers; evaluates proposals and bids.
• Prepares cost estimates, budgets, schedules, materials and construction specs.
• Conducts field inspections and prepares reports.
• Participates in emergency response activities and understands company policies and culture.
