Job summary

Hawaiian Electric Companies is seeking a Project Analyst (Professional) in Hawaii to support T&D engineering finance processes and reporting. You will forecast capital expenditures, monitor budgets, update schedules, and prepare project-related analyses for engineers and leadership.

Responsibilities include project closeout, cost reconciliation, and preparing accounting entries for various line items. The role requires strong analytical, accounting, and communication skills and offers growth

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of personal computers and related software applications such as Excel, pivot tables, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Access.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles including general ledger, cost accounting and capital budgeting.
Understanding of company financial policies and project procedures.
Knowledge of project hierarchy, coding, and LEAN continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

Develops capital expenditure forecasts and reports across engineers tri-company.
Monitors projects and updates schedules, budgets, and reports for management.
Performs project closeout and cost analysis; provides engineers with cost breakdowns.
Creates metrics and reports to measure performance for leadership.
Supports billing, reconciliation, and CIAC-related accounting tasks.
