Job summary

Tucson Electric Power invites applicants for the Student Intern, T&D Asset Management program to help with asset data tasks in a dynamic energy environment. You will gain hands-on experience supporting asset testing, data analysis, and procedure development.

The role requires pursuing an Engineering or Information Systems degree with 2027 graduation or later, and the ability to work 20–40 hours weekly, with strong teamwork and communication skills. Familiarity with GIS and databases is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering or Information Systems degree with graduation expected May 2027 or later.
• Available to work 20–40 hours per week, depending on season.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with database management and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist the department with various tasks such as:
• • Equipment testing database administration
• • Asset condition assessment process, including data gathering and analysis
• • Asset data integrity, including improving quality and availability of data
• • Outage/equipment failure coding/tracking/trending
• • Procedure development/review
• • Assist with other duties or assignments as needed
• • General shadowing and assisting with maintenance engineers and planners
