Job summary

The University of Arizona's CAMI in Downtown Phoenix seeks a Research Technician IV to support design, execution, and analysis of complex experiments in T cell–based immunotherapies under a Principal Scientist.

The role requires meticulous data recording, instrument maintenance, animal handling, and adherence to FDA/USP guidelines. This is a full‑time, on‑site position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or high school equivalency required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Preferred: research experience in a relevant field of study.
  • Preferred: animal handling and mouse colony maintenance experience.
  • Preferred: molecular biology (PCR, cloning, DNA prep) and biochemical assays (protein purification, Western blots, ELISA).
  • Preferred: flow cytometry.
  • Preferred: mammalian cell tissue culture and mouse handling.
  • Preferred: basic lab protocols.
  • Preferred: compliance with laboratory safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of complex experiments.
  • Analyze, curate, and organize scientific data and records.
  • Routine maintenance, calibration, preparation, and operation of complex laboratory instruments.
  • Follow and maintain detailed protocols and document instrument use.
  • Perform molecular biology and biochemical assays.
  • Maintain notebooks with experimental design and results.
  • Collect and perform basic data analysis under supervision.
  • Assist with lab supplies and equipment upkeep.
  • Mouse colony management and related tasks.
  • Assist with animal experiments and data acquisition.
  • Follow lab safety protocols and waste disposal.
  • Train colleagues in equipment and techniques.
