Job summary

Avalon BioVentures is seeking a Scientist I/II in T cell immunology to advance regulatory T cell therapies. This 100% lab-based role focuses on isolating, expanding, and engineering Tregs, and assessing their safety and efficacy in preclinical models.

You will work with viral and non-viral methods to drive cellular therapy development, reporting to senior management. The ideal candidate has a strong immunology background, hands-on experience with primary human T cells, and expertise in flow

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Immunology or related field, or MS with 6–8+ years' industry experience.
Strong background in human T cell immunology, especially regulatory T cells.
Experience with primary human immune cell isolation and flow cytometry panels (>10 colors).

Responsibilities

Design and conduct research on regulatory T cells and their therapeutic potential.
Develop protocols to isolate, expand, and modify Tregs ex vivo.
Assess safety, efficacy, and activity in preclinical models.
Analyze immune cell profiles and cytokine production.
Perform immune cell characterization using flow cytometry, ELISA, PCR, RNAseq.
Contribute data for regulatory filings and publications.
