Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an executive to own the cross-cutting business engine of the system's pharmacy enterprise. The role focuses on how we get paid, manage costs, and strengthen external partnerships across acute and ambulatory settings.

The candidate will lead analytics, informatics, and AI strategy, drive budgeting and forecasting, and ensure alignment with senior leadership, including the VP of Pharmacy. Hybrid in Duluth, MN area with relocation support.

Qualifications

• PharmD or equivalent licensure eligibility in MN, WI, or ND.
• 5+ years of pharmacy business leadership with breadth across acute and ambulatory.
• Strong experience in payer/PBM dynamics, contracting, and revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level pharmacy business services including expense management and revenue optimization.
• Own payer and PBM strategy and negotiate with commercial/government payers and PBMs.
• Manage wholesaler, manufacturer, and group purchasing organization relationships and contracting.
