Job summary

ORION INDUSTRIES in Auburn, WA is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide hands-on user support across sites, manage tickets, and coordinate software and hardware resources.

The role requires experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VPNs, antivirus tools, and an Associate degree in information technology or computer science.

Onsite work and mentoring of entry-level staff are expected as the team maintains system reliability and aligns with organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting users and resolving tickets.
• Knowledge of antivirus tools and security best practices.
• CompTIA A+ certification (entry level).
• Basic understanding of Active Directory, Office 365, and VPNs.
• Associate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and user support for all sites.
• Coordinate the use of purchased software and hardware, providing training and instruction to users.
• Develop and apply strategies to ensure systems are current and aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
• Establish and enforce standards and procedures to support software standardization and consistent practices.
• Perform routine computer maintenance and ensure proper equipment functionality.
• Maintain IT assets for all sites.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, order necessary parts and supplies, and coordinate the receipt and storage of desktop equipment.
• Provide end-user support and guidance to maintain efficient and reliable system operations.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors as needed to coordinate the resolution of more complex user issues.
• Track, document, and report recurring problems to help improve system reliability and inform long-term solutions.
• Perform other responsibilities in alignment with evolving organizational needs.
• Mentor and Train entry Level IT Staff, when needed.
