Job summary

Texas Instruments in Sherman, TX seeks a skilled Facilities Technician to support engineering and maintenance of mechanical, chemical and electrical systems and semiconductor tool installations.

You will monitor and maintain building systems, respond to emergencies, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, analyze SCADA data to optimize performance, coordinate with contractors, and keep accurate maintenance records to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building systems, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to avoid manufacturing downtime.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, assess situations, and troubleshoot components to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and proper PPE use.
• Analyze SCADA trends to identify issues and inform maintenance scheduling.
• Serve as primary contact for system issues and upgrades; coordinate with contractors and vendors.
• Maintain records of performance and maintenance; recommend SOP improvements.

As a Facilities Technician, you will perform technical tasks in support of engineering and maintenance activities involving the construction, design, specification, startup and operation of the facility's mechanical, chemical and electrical systems or the installation of semiconductor manufacturing tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and Maintain Building Systems: Monitor, operate, and maintain assigned building systems, including troubleshooting and performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure zero impact on manufacturing.
• Respond to Emergencies and Issues: Respond quickly to potentially critical situations, perform rapid and accurate situational assessments, and troubleshoot system components to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety: Conduct regular inspections to ensure system compliance with safety, regulatory, and company requirements, and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements, including hazardous production material handling and PPE use.
• Analyze and Optimize System Performance: Monitor and analyze SCADA trends to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential issues in building systems, using data-driven insights to inform maintenance scheduling and troubleshooting.
• Provide Technical Support and Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for system issues, emergencies, and upgrades, coordinating with contractors and vendors as needed, and provide technical support for 24-hour operations team.
• Maintain Records and Improve Processes: Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and repairs, and recommend improvements to processes and procedures, including updating Standard Operating Procedures and maintenance logs, to ensure best practices are in place and documented properly.
