Job summary

Texas Instruments seeks a Facilities Technician to support engineering and maintenance of mechanical, chemical, and electrical systems in a semiconductor manufacturing facility. The role involves startup and operation of facility utilities, installation of manufacturing tools, and ensuring safety and reliability in a dynamic production environment.

The position emphasizes rapid problem-solving, adherence to SOPs, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Technical Certificate or Associates Degree in Advanced Manufacturing, EET, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Automation/Systems, Electrical and Power Controls, Process Technology, or related field.
• 3 years of military electronics or mechanical training.
• 3 years of hands-on technical maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to critical situations and troubleshoot system components.
• Identify causes of failures and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Review maintenance procedures to ensure best practices are documented.
• Monitor building systems through SCADA and respond to alarms.
• Perform daily inspections in potentially hazardous environments.
• Draft and improve SOPs for related systems and maintain records.
