Lumafield in Cambridge, MA is looking for a Systems Software Engineer to work on innovative manufacturing inline CT scanning products. You will design high-performance software, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, and help scale embedded devices.

Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in embedded systems, proficiency in Python and C, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 – $170,000, along with equity grants and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing low-level, high-performance software in Python and C.
• Experience shipping applications with embedded Linux.
• 3+ years of startup experience.
• Hands-on experience integrating new hardware platforms.
• Mastery of software engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Write performance edge application software to acquire, process, and stream radiograph data.
• Write appliance firmware for scanner peripherals.
• Participate in code reviews and build testing infrastructure.
• Ship production critical Linux-based applications.
• Architect data acquisition solutions.
