Footbridge Federal is seeking a software engineer to define architectures and implement system-level software primarily in C++ for defense programs. You will design protocols and state machines with system designers to move prototype simulations into real-time code.

You will also support software integration and test design for laboratory and field experiments and generate comprehensive technical documentation for stakeholders. An active Secret clearance and 5+ years in C++ are required.

Qualifikationen

• Active Secret security clearance to start (interim acceptable).
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong C++ (C++11+), STL/Boost proficiency.
• OO design, patterns, data structures, and UML knowledge.
• Experience with distributed systems and IPC protocols.
• Linux development environment experience and hardware abstraction layers.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD tools and version control.
