Job summary

Talan, an international group, is seeking a Client Solutions Software Engineer in the Greater Chicago area. The role focuses on software deployment, system integration, infrastructure support, and customer-facing technical activities in enterprise environments.

Location is Chicago (Hybrid – at least 3 days onsite/week); visa sponsorship is offered for TN and E-2 categories for eligible citizens. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• 2-4 years of experience in system administration, software deployment, infrastructure support, or database administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Scripting experience, ideally PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact directly with customers.
• Ability to work across infrastructure, software, database, and cloud topics.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and upgrade software solutions in customer environments.
• Design and recommend optimal system architectures and deployment models.
• Provide technical support related to system integration, databases, licensing, and infrastructure.
• Deliver administration and technical training to customers.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support pre-sales and post-sales technical engagements, including evaluations, proofs of concepts, installations, and production support.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, support, and customer success teams to ensure successful implementations.
• Participate in automation and process optimization initiatives.

Job Description

Location: Chicago (Hybrid – at least 3 days onsite/week)

This position is open to candidates who are currently located in the Greater Chicago area.

Visa Sponsorship: We offer sponsorship under specific treaty-based U.S. work visas, including TN and E-2 (for eligible Canadian, Mexican, and French citizens). We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B).

One of our clients, a leading software company operating in the telecommunications and network optimization sector, is seeking a Client Solutions Software Engineer to join its technical team. This role focuses on software deployment, system integration, infrastructure support, and customer-facing technical activities within enterprise environments.

Role and responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and upgrade software solutions in customer environments.
• Design and recommend optimal system architectures and deployment models.
• Provide technical support related to system integration, databases, licensing, and infrastructure.
• Deliver administration and technical training to customers.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting activities.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous customer-facing or consulting experience.
