RTX is offering an entry-level, onsite internship in Tucson to join the Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team. You will develop embedded security solutions and collaborate across AT, cyber security, and software assurance to protect critical weapon systems.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in STEM with at least 60 credit hours, ready to contribute to DoD-related projects and gain hands-on experience in a high-security environment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related STEM major and enrolled through internship.
• Minimum of 60 credit hours by start of internship.

This is an Entry Level Role onsite in Tucson, AZ As a member of our elite Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team, we want you to develop embedded security solutions to protect the Warfighter's technology advantage. Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems.

Qualifications - Must Have

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline, specifically Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through completion of the internship.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications - We Prefer

• Prior internship, co-op or work experience
• Applied engineering on-the-job experience, research, coursework or projects with exposure in one or more of the following domains: systems engineering, software or firmware development, systems integration and/or test, ASIC development, digital electronics design, model-based systems engineering, or similar work history.
• Experience supporting DoD programs or a working knowledge of DoD directives such as DODI-S-5230.28.
• Active/Current DoD security clearance
• Exceptional creativity, problem-solving abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Relocation Eligibility

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance.
