Job summary

Incognito Software Systems Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to own IT and infrastructure operations, drive a Nutanix-based IaaS migration, and partner with the vCISO to maintain security and compliance across HIPAA, HITECH, and SOC 2.

You will work hands-on on virtualization, storage, networking, endpoint management, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate plans, log analysis, and runbook authoring, while ensuring high availability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT operations, infrastructure engineering, or a comparable systems role.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Nutanix).
• Experience managing or migrating to IaaS or hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of S3/object storage, access policies, lifecycle management, backup targets.

Responsibilities

• Own company infrastructure across virtualization, storage, and networking layers.
• Lead transition from on-prem to a Nutanix-based IaaS platform.
• Administer virtualization environments (Nutanix, VMware).
• Manage S3/object storage, backup targets, lifecycle policies, and access controls.
• Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning with regular restores.
• Monitor performance, ensure high availability and scalability.
• Participate in on-call rotations for infra and security escalations.
• Use AI-assisted tooling for migration planning, config review, and log analysis.
• Partner with vCISO to implement security policies and control frameworks.
• Support HIPAA/HITECH/SOC 2 compliance and align with NIST 800-171/ISO 27001.
