Job summary

Alstom in Pittsburgh is seeking an Interface Engineer to connect subsystems in automated transit projects. You will define interfaces, maintain Interface Control Matrices, and lead cross-disciplinary design reviews to ensure reliability and safety of rail systems.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and design teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions and drive on-time milestones with a results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering/technical experience, ideally with field exposure to railway systems.
• Ability to build customer value by delivering fit-for-purpose solutions and maintaining trust-based relationships.
• Strong collaborative skills to engage diverse stakeholders and drive collective success.
• Ownership, transparency, and a results-driven mindset to deliver high-quality work on time.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage functional interfaces across subsystems in automated transit systems.
• Lead cross-discipline reviews to drive design quality and provide technical feedback.
• Develop and maintain context diagrams and Interface Control Matrices for turnkey systems.
• Ensure interface definitions are controlled, documented, and updated in collaboration with design engineers.
• Monitor and report interface issues using key performance indicators to optimize project outcomes.
